It’s summertime in New York City, which is always a beautiful time to take advantage of all that Manhattan has to offer locals and tourists alike. Central Park is always a perfect place for a jog, or to sneak away to Sheep Meadow (just minutes from Columbus Circle) to sunbath with the locals. Shopping along Fifth Avenue, or the boutiques of SoHo, is a favorite pastime for most everyone in the city; and all of this combined with the numerous coffee shops and dining options around the city make New York an easy city to love.
Relax & Unwind
Guerlain Spa at the Waldorf New York – Conveniently located in midtown, inside the iconic Waldorf Astoria Hotel on Park Avenue, the Guerlain Spa offers a host of luxury treatments. While it may not be a very large spa and boutique, it’s a nice way to unwind after keeping up with the fast pace of New York.
The End of an Era
Mama Mia on Broadway – The large billboards for Mama Mia in Times Square have become a permanent part of this vibrant landscape, but after more than 6,000 performances, Mama Mia will end its Broadway run on September 12, 2015. A truly exciting show filled with singing and dancing, it’s a fun experience for the entire family.
Wine & Dine
Del Frisco’s Grille – There’s no shortage of power-players in the heart of Rockefeller Center, and Del Frisco’s Grille is an ideal place to enjoy great food, an extensive wine list and plenty of people watching in a comfortable and casual atmosphere. It’s a diversified menu with something for everyone, but a personal favorite is the signature Prime New York Strip steak.
See The Sights
Spirit of New York Cruises – I’ll admit that cruises are not often my first choice, but you can’t argue with the view of Manhattan from the water. It’s a fantastic view anytime of the day, and the Spirit of New York is recently renovated, and a great operation. Look for their themed cruises including: yoga, brunch, happy hour and more.
A Walk in the Park
Broadway in the Bryant Park – Just a few blocks away from Grand Central Station, Bryant Park is a favorite destination in New York for ice-skating in the winter, and then to savor the sunshine and free wifi in the spring and summer. Throughout the summer Broadway in the Park allows for hour-long concerts from the stars of Broadway.
